Services
At Carruthers Therapy, LLC, I offer compassionate, evidence-based therapies (or interventions) tailored to support teens and adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and relational challenges. I integrate approaches like EMDR, neurofeedback, and psychotherapy to help patients process past experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and move forward with confidence. Whether you’re navigating the effects of trauma, addiction, or anxiety, my goal is to create a safe, encouraging space where healing and growth can thrive.
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, brain-based therapy that helps improve self-regulation by training the brain to function more efficiently. At Carruthers Therapy, neurofeedback is used to support patients struggling with anxiety, trauma, attention issues, and emotional dysregulation—promoting lasting change by addressing patterns at the neurological level.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. At Carruthers Therapy, EMDR is used to reduce the emotional intensity of distressing memories, allowing patients to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and peace.
Psychotherapy
Talk therapy provides the patient with an opportunity to share concerns and struggles with the therapist. I believe in people’s ability to change and use my nurturing style to encourage them to develop coping skills to improve their ability to tolerate distress, regulate their emotions, and improve relationships. I am trained in MI (motivational interviewing), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), and SFBT (solution-focused brief therapy).
